Kansas City Wizards Practice 03-12-2009

Pretty normal practice, after warm-ups and drills the team played 10v10 with small goals. Some good play, a few sweet passes/flicks by Lopez but to me Gomez stood out again today. Great runs, passes and shots, he has looked really good lately in the practices I have attended. There were some fantastic play by Harrington and Jewsbury as well today. It might be nothing but it also seems to me that Claudio is taking a more vocal leadership role this year.

They then ran some drills that involved the outside backs, the midfielders and the forwards. Great work between Lopez and Harrington, they looked very much on the same page. One bad thing for these types of drills, it leaves the goalies hung out to dry.

Hope we do not see this much this year...

There were a few other drills and set piece practices as well.
Coach KZ ducking behind the wall...

Looks like a couple of players from the Open tryouts stuck around. I believe this is Rockhurst Goalie Chad Becker…

Not sure who this guy is or if he is even from the tryouts, I will try to find out more later...

Here is the rest of the photos from today...
