Tear Down that Wall !!

A Milestone today. The last remaining wall of the old Bannister Mall came down this morning. It did not take long as you can probably tell from the photos. After everything was down I talked to the only bystander watching. He was one of the iron workers who helped build the mall. Hypermart and the other building were built by him as well. I thought it might be bittersweet for him to watch his work come down but he is really excited to see the development there.

The next step is to do some more clean up. They will then start breaking up the pad and the in-ground walls. The estimate I heard is that it will be about a month before that starts and it will take a couple months to complete.
