The season really does come down to this trip. The Wizards must win, at least two and a tie to have a realistic chance to make the come back and get in to the playoffs and the playoffs have to be the goal.
Tonight is New England, the last team to lose to the Wizards in league play. DC United on Wednesday and New York Red Bulls next Saturday. As for a 3 game road trip in 8 days where you need wins this is probably the best possible for Kansas City.
All teams that can be beat. New England has been good to the Wizards on the road, DC United has not been exactly smooth sailing the last couple months and the Red Bulls are the only team that can claim to be worse than KC.
The playoffs (not just improving) has to be the goal...
This will be the one game this year that I do not watch. I will be at the Irish Fest at Crown Center and will be following the score on my phone. I will also be tracking the US National team of course. If you want to go to a watch party, go to Hillcrest Road to get the list.
A little video from practice on Thursday for your enjoyment. It was a passing possession drill where each team had to pass there team mate into the scoring zone. Coach Vermes was really letting the players know when they were not meeting his expectations.
