Manchester United to play KC Wizards

As has been rumored and tweeted recently, it was announced that Manchester United will play the Kansas City Wizards on July 25th. It will be the third of 4 games on their US tour. They will play Celtic in Toronto on July 16th, the Union in Philly on the 21st and the MLS All Stars on the 28th.

The Wizards were originally scheduled to play against the Fire in Chicago on July 24th but that match has now been moved to Tuesday, Ocober 12th.

Bringing Manchester United here is great news for Kansas City and soccer fans across the region. A well attended game will also add to Kansas City's chances to host World Cup games in 2018 or 2022.

Robb Heineman, the Wizards and OnGoal are already planning big events for next year when their new stadium opens.

I talked briefly with Robb Heineman (take note of why he tweeted the info early)

  1. Three great interviews - very different perspectives from each! Really looking forward to this game. It's just going to get better as we get closer.

The Wizards did a good job with prices.
