Much has been made of Teal waiting to decide what National Team he will choose, probably too much. Teal was born in Canada, played on Canadian youth teams but grew up in the US and is eligible to play for both Canada and the US. When I interviewed him on draft day, I asked him if he aspire to play for Canada and he said he did. Throughout the season the answer changed but the question changed also. It went from being do you want to play for Canada to which team, so the answer changed a bit. To see if the answer has changed, I ask again...
Rocastle is in the process of picking a national team. He discusses this, the off season and even a bit about being willing to be physical on the field...
I stopped by Comets practice last Friday. More of the new players were in camp since the last time I watched. With unlimited substitutions in indoor soccer and hockey, teams will often run entire lines out together to maintain consistency. They seemed to be running three lines throughout practice. The lines will continue to evolve with time, experience, experimentation and new players. I will stop by practice again this week and try to provide some observations on the players.
The Comets play their first game this Friday the 12th against the Milwaukee Wave.
