LIVESTRONG Sporting Park gets grass

Another milestone in the birth of LIVESTRONG Sporting Park was achieved this week. Actually two milestones. Grass has been installed practically over night and seat installation has begun.

And done. A little patchwork is all that remained...

The other big milestone is seats. Boxes of seats line the concourse, ready to be installed.

Still do not want a tall person to sit in front of me...

I think David Ficklin is happy to have the grass installed...

Sporting KC 2 - 3 Chicago 3/26/11

With all the injuries and callups, Sporting Kansas City put out a lineup that was a little short on experience but they pulled together.

While Roger Espinoza is normally a starter at left back, he was a center back against Chicago. Here Roger defends Puerari.

Even after Omar Bravo was ejected and the team went down 2-0, they did not give up. Besler got his first ever and Bunbury got his first of the year to keep the game close. SKC even looked the better team while a man down.
